All Stars Cricket was a brand new initiative from the ECB, launched in 2017, aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket. The programme was delivered across England and Wales and Swardeston was one of over 1,500 fully accredited All Stars Cricket centres. We had 38 children regularly attend our 2017 programme.

It is a fun and active way to develop your child’s skills, and through our eight-week programme they will learn lots – as well as make new friends – in a safe and inclusive environment. All girls and boys are welcome, and each registered child will receive a pack of cricket goodies including a cricket bat, ball, backpack, water bottle, personalised shirt and cap to keep so that they can continue their love of cricket when they go home.

Every child that returns to All Stars Cricket from 2017 will receive the new kit to progress their development as an All Star, it includes:

  • New backpack
  • Cricket bat
  • Cricket ball
  • New star design personalised shirt
  • Stumps
  • Activity book
  •
  • The 2018 Swardeston programme will be lead by our youth co-ordinator Jason Reynolds and will be supported by fellow Swardeston coach Lewis Denmark.

Jason said: “There will be a big emphasis on using volunteers or parents to help with the sessions. Coaches do not have to be qualified! So I would once again love to hear from potential volunteers and parents. They can email me on swardestonjuniorcricket@gmail.com.”

Cost per player for the eight weeks is £40.kit
