Welcome to Swardeston Cricket Club

Based just south of Norwich, Swardeston - one of East Anglia's leading cricket clubs - can trace its history back over 150 years and now runs four Saturday sides, two Sunday teams and a thriving youth section with teams at Under-19, Under-15, Under-13, Under-11 and Under-9 level. We also have an active and growing women and girls section.

Swardeston's 1st XI plays in the ECB East Anglian Premier League, winning the league seven times. The remaining three teams play in the Cecil Amey Opticians Norfolk Cricket Alliance.

2019 saw the club become the first in the country to do the national club double by winning the Royal London Club Championship at Lord's and the Vitality Club T20 at Derbyshire CCC.

2016 was a landmark year for the club as we won the national NatWest Club T20 title and also reached the final of the Royal London National Club Championship. We also won the Carter Cup for the sixth time and the EAPL for the fifth season in a row.

In that year we also won the Active Norfolk team of the year award, the All Out Cricket Magazine club of the year award and were also joint winners of the Norfolk Cricket Alliance (NCA) club of the year award.

Swardeston is one of a number of clubs in Norfolk to have achieved the ECB's ClubMark accreditation.

Swardeston run weekly youth cricket sessions during the summer and offer high quality coaching to all children that attend. As well as this, the club runs weekly net sessions for it's adult members.

The club has a thriving social scene with annual cricket dinner, club dinner, quiz and race nights. The club also has it's own bar that is open after every game.
