The second player-of-the-month awards have been handed out for June performances
The winners, who each received a £75 voucher to spend at the Blue Joanna, Unthank Road, Norwich were:
- 1st XI – Harry Barker
- 2nd XI – Harry De Coteau-Spring
- Swardeston CEYMS – Sam Thelwell
- Swardeston CEYMS A – Paul Speakman
Each team captain nominated players but the final decision was made by Club President Peter Thomas, also chair of the cricket committee, and Club Chair Stuart Bartram.
The new sponsorship is being backed by our main club sponsors Leathes Prior under their ‘LP Loves Local’ campaign and the June awards were run in conjunction and part-sponsored by our friends at the Blue Joanna.
The awards will run across the season with winners being selected for April/May, June, July and August/September.
The June awards were presented at the Summer BBQ held in conjunction with the Village Hall Trustees. Unfortunately, 2nd XI winner Harry De Coteau-Spring was unable to attend on the night.
