Long-time Swardeston member Simon Green will be our DJ at the BBQ we are staging in partnership with the Village Hall Trustees.
We are looking forward to welcoming more than 80 guests to the BBQ on Saturday 9 July.
Many years ago Simon was our 1st XI scorer and is now a club sponsor under his Sticky Dogs business and a valued member of the club’s management committee.
Greeno only plays vinyl records; an analogue man in a digital music world.
Describing himself as a collector/selector rather than a DJ, his love of soul music, and its related genres, started in his mid-teens, although he credits his Mum’s copy of The Supremes Live LP as a pivotal early influence.
As well as locally, he’s played at the Southport, Great Yarmouth, Bournemouth and other soul weekends as well as many other venues in London and Essex.
He continues to play out regularly with forthcoming gigs coming up this summer in Cambridge, East London and Essex.
