Swardeston CC is proud to host its annual cricket dinner for the 33rd consecutive year.
This year we have secured the services of one of the best-known names in broadcasting as we welcome Test Match Special and Sky’s Charlie Dagnall to Swardeston.
It is also our pleasure to announce that Breakwater IT will sponsor the event for the third year running.
The dinner will take place at Swardeston Common on Wednesday 2 October 2019, 7 for 7.45pm. Tickets are £50 each.
Following a playing career which included stints at Warwickshire and Leicestershire, Dagnall has built an impressive broadcasting presence.
A BBC presenter on radio for 12 years and six years on cricket’s flagship Test Match Special (TMS) across all of the games formats, ‘Daggers’ is proving to be an expert on ‘white ball’ cricket and the voice of T20 cricket broadcasting on BBC.
He is a regular on the dinner circuit across the country gaining a fast-growing reputation as one of the most entertaining. Dagnall is also an expert on NFL and a regular on Five Live’s ‘Fighting Talk’ round table topical news show.
Comedian Jed Stone will also be on the bill.
Dinner organiser David Thomas said: “We are thrilled to have secured Charlie for this year’s cricket dinner and we very much welcome back Breakwater IT as the main dinner sponsor for the third year running.
“I sincerely hope many will be able to join us at what has become a marvellous attraction for the corporate hospitality sector and cricket lovers alike. The dinner is open to all, both males and females, and tables are for 10 but I will endeavour to accommodate any number people may require.”
Breakwater’s Managing Director John Gostling said: “We are thrilled to be sponsoring Swardeston’s consistently popular annual dinner once again this year and are very much looking forward to hearing from Charlie Dagnall and enjoying another memorable evening.”
Tickets are £50 each and are available directly through David, contact details below.
