Deeply saddened to learn of the death today of Charles ‘Nigel’ Arden Hill, aged 91. Nigel was our President from 1975-1986 and he and his wife became our first honorary life members in 1987. The club owes him a huge debt of gratitude.
Without him our club would not have been able to achieve its success in the 1970s, including the incredible Haig Cup run where we reached the last eight in the country in 1975. Our condolences go to Nigel’s widow Joan, and children Philip, Michael and Claire.
