Swardeston is delighted to report that Joe Gatting has committed his future to the club for the next three years.
“Joe has been a key member of the club since arriving in 2016 and we are delighted that he has put pen to paper on a new deal with us,” said chairman Stuart Bartram.
“We have been thrilled with his performances on the field and since becoming 1st XI captain in 2018 Joe is beginning to make significant contributions to the club’s development too.
“This is an important phase for the club after the retirement of former chairman Mark Taylor and 1st XI skipper Mark Thomas during the past two years.
“We have already held a meeting with Joe and fellow trustees as we look to ensure we continue our progress as a club over the next three years,” added Stuart.
Joe said: “I am delighted to commit to Swardeston Cricket Club for the next three years. The club has been exceptional with me since day one and I’ve had so many fond memories in the last three seasons. I can’t wait to make more.
“It’s an exciting phase for the club and I look forward to playing a big part on and off the field to help the club to be the best club cricket team in the country.”
