Further awards given at the 2018 annual Swardeston CC awards dinner at Brasted’s Restaurant were as follows.

The trophy for the most outstanding performance of the year was awarded to Jordan Taylor for his innings of 131 against Great Witchingham in the Bob Carter Cup semi-final.
Jordy hit 13 boundaries in his 154-ball innings and laid the foundation for mammoth Swardeston team score that day as they went on to make 371-9 in their 60 overs.
Club captain Peter Thomas said Jordy had played a magnificent innings, showing a fantastic range of shots. He had featured in two key partnerships on the day, 141 with Joe Gatting and 96 with Peter Lambert before he was finally dismissed.
Toby Duncan was the winner of the Neville Herathge Trophy for the outstanding youth player of the year.
Club captain Peter Thomas said that Toby had a strong 2017 summer, his debut season on Saturdays at Swardeston. He was the leading league wicket taker for the 2nd XI with 24 at an average of 20.96.
Peter said Toby had listened well to advice given to him throughout the summer and had done brilliantly well in his first season in Division One of the Norfolk Alliance.

Further presentations of flower bouquets were made at the dinner by chairman Mark Taylor.
Mark first of all thanked Charlotte Sheehy from main club sponsors Leathes Prior for representing her company so well but also for showing such great personal support for the club.
Mark then presented bouquets to all who had helped with the teams’ lunches and teas throughout the season.
The evening was got underway by George Walker who ran a ‘novel’ heads and tails featuring facts and figures from the club’s history. The prize of a ÂŁ100 voucher donated by The Georgian Town House was won by Jordy Taylor.
