Jason Reynolds named new Head Youth Co-ordinator

Jason Reynolds

The club is delighted to announce that Jason Reynolds will be taking over as our Head Youth C0-ordinator for the 2017 season onwards.

Jason takes over from Lewis Denmark.

Chairman Mark Taylor said: “We are very pleased Jason has taken on the role as we continue to build our youth cricket organisation. Lewis completed a brilliant job and we are sure Jason will be a terrific successor.”

Jason said: “Lewis did a fantastic job last year and we thank him greatly for that. I am thoroughly looking forward to the job and I intend on giving it my all.

“The season isn’t far away now and many things are already in motion for the upcoming season, which hopes to be a very successful one. We hope to grow on the successes of last year by welcoming new players and extending our playing and coaching offers to new and existing players to make sure they receive the best possible cricketing experience at Swardeston Cricket Club.

“Summer youth training will begin on Tuesday 18 April 2017 at The Common, Swardeston, and run every Tuesday, weather permitting, from 6.15pm – 7.45pm. The sessions will run until a new event in the Swardeston calendar, a youth presentation evening on Tuesday 18 July 2017.

“We are also looking at having some specialist coaching sessions throughout the summer where players will be invited by team mangers to attend. These will cover areas such as specialist batting, specialist fast bowling, specialist spin bowling, specialist wicketkeeping,” said Jason.

Jason, who will also continue as coach of the women and girls team, was pleased to announce the line-up of coaches for our 2017 youth teams and said 2017 youth fixtures would be published shortly.
