Sunday 17th January saw a new era dawn for Swardeston CC with the ladies section playing our first match in the TGS Women’s Indoor Cricket League. Having joined an extremely competitive league we expected formidable opposition and that is what we got against a strong Fakenham side.
Batting first we posted a net 177 before taking the field (floor!) where Fakenham amassed 216 net. The performance and result gave us much to contemplate but on balance was a tremendous learning experience and a great base to build on in the months ahead. Sticking together, learning together and ultimately winning together will be this season’s motto.
