After a hard fought game tonight, Swardeston won the Norfolk 20/20 final against Norwich by 18 runs at Horsford.
Swardeston made 186-5 in their 20 overs, with Peter Lambert top scoring with 69 from 40 balls (4x4s, 5x6s), Jordie Taylor hit 26 and Jason Reynolds finished the innings in style with an unbeaten 32 from just 15 balls.
The Norwich innings was always threatening with Dominic Matarazzo at the crease. He made 79 from just 42 balls but after Swardeston skipper Mark Thomas trapped him lbw the Swardeston bowlers resumed control to force home the 18-run victory.
Thomas also dismissed Russell Emmanual for 36 and Oli Syutton for 4, to finish with 3-28 from his 4 overs as Norwich closed on 168-6.
Peter Lambert won the trophy for most wickets in the whole tournament.
