Overall the weekend results were mixed.
In pride of place were the first team which comfortably disposed of Horsford in the EAPL on Saturday and Colchester and East Essex in the ECB National Knock out on Sunday, each by 7 wickets.
George Walker and Peter Lambert both took 4 wickets on Saturday and Steven Gray and Callum Taylor struck fifties.
On Sunday Barry Singleton led the way with the ball taking 3 wickets and Jordi Taylor saw us home with an unbeaten 88.
The seconds lost a close match to Fakenham by 2 wickets despite a superb unbeaten 154 from Rob O’Donnell.
The thirds slumped to 92 all out v Norwich and lost by 7 wickets.
Swardeston CEYMS were also beaten comprehensively by Norwich B, despite 53 from Kevin Cooper.
In the junior section, Swardeston CEYMS under 15s beat Cringleford Lodge but the under 9s lost to Norwich.
