A seminar to help master the art of cricket scoring takes place this Sunday.
The Norfolk Association of Cricket Officals (NACO) with the support of the Norfolk Cricket Board will be holding a cricket scoring seminar at Swardeston Village Hall, home of Swardeston Cricket Club, on Sunday 1 April 2012 from 2pm to 4.30pm.
The seminar will cover all aspects of scoring, and there will be examples of traditional, linear and computer scoring systems available on the day.
The session will be led by Swardeston and MCC scorer Norman Bygrave, who is also scorers officer for the NACO. There will also be a Minor Counties umpire in attendance.
Bygrave said: “The seminar is for all levels of cricket scorer, from the experienced to the beginner as well as for someone who may be considering getting involved in the game but does not know what scoring entails. Also clubs who are aware they could use the services of a scorer might be interested in sending someone along to see how they could become more attractive to a potential scorer.”
