Jaden Hatwell was named premier team player of the year for the second consecutive season by captain Mark Thomas at Swardeston’s packed annual awards dinner, held at The Parson Woodforde – the club’s new sponsor.
The Kiwi all-rounder signed off for Swardeston with another impressive season in the East Anglian Premier League, scoring 727 runs at an average of 42.76 and also claiming 48 wickets. Hatwell was thanked by Thomas for his service to the club, feelings that were echoed by chairman Mark Taylor and Club Captain Peter Thomas.
Dale Reynolds was named the 2nd XI player of the year after leading the team’s bowling averages, taking 37 wickets at an average of 20.14. He also contributed 227 runs at an average of 25.22.
Batsman Matt Hogg picked up the honours for the A XI for scoring 433 league runs at an average of just over 54. Hogg’s top score of 87 came in a win against Great Witchingham A, and featured 14 boundaries.
Young bowler Alex Levinson was named the Swardeston CEYMS player of the year. Levinson took 16 wickets at an average of 23.81.
