George Walker has revealed he would “jump at the chance” to captain Norfolk after Carl Rogers’ decision to step down as skipper.
Swardeston’s left-arm spinner Walker, 26, led the county for all three games of this year’s Manor Park Festival when Rogers was absent with a wrist injury and he admitted he would relish the chance to take the job on full-time: “I would jump at the chance to be captain,” he said.
“Obviously it has to be discussed at committee level and decided that way, but without a doubt I would love to do it.”
