Fowler heads cast for 24th annual Stag dinner

Former England batsman Graeme Fowler will be the guest speaker at the 24th annual Swardeston stag dinner to be held on Monday 27 September 2010.

The former Lancashire and Durham lefthander became England’s first batsman to score a double hundred in India and recorded a 21-match Test career. Graeme also played 26 one-day internationals for England and scored more than 16,600 first class career runs.

Graeme is familiar on the speaking circuit, a well-known broadcaster and is also senior coach for Durham University Cricket.

He will be supported by comedian Jamie Sutherland.

The dinner, sponsored by Brewin Dolphin again this year, will take place at the ground at 7 for 7.45pm.

Tickets, priced at £35, are available from organiser David Thomas at
