Former England batting legend Graham Thorpe will be the guest speaker at the 23rd annual Swardeston stag dinner.
The former Surrey left-hander became one of England’s most consistent batsmen at international level. Graham played 100 Tests for England and 82 one-day internationals, scoring over 6,700 Test runs and more than 2300 in ODIs.
Dinner organiser David Thomas said: “On the back of an Ashes summer, we hope guests will enjoy hearing from Graham who made an unbeaten 114 on his Test debut – against the 1993 touring Australians.”
He will be supported by comedian Bobby Bender.
The dinner, sponsored by Brewin Dolphin again this year, will take place at the ground in Swardeston on Monday 28 September 2009, 7 for 7.45pm.
Tickets are priced at £35.
