Swardeston reach Twenty20 final

Norfolk skipper Carl Rogers proved the matchwinner last night as Great Witchingham booked their place in the Norfolk 20/20 Cup final.

Rogers claimed five for 12 from four overs as Witchingham beat Fakenham by 43 runs in the second semi-final at Manor Park.

Fakenham were bowled out for 95 in the 18th over, chasing a target of 139 to win. Paul Dungar made top score of 25.

Earlier, Witchingham, put into bat, made 138 for eight, Sam Dacre scoring 34 and Lance Shaw 33, while Fakenham skipper Michael Smith took five for 21.

Witchingham play Swardeston in the final at Manor Park on Friday, July 25 (6pm).
