Swardeston secured a fantastic league and cup double with a five-wicket victory over Ashmanhaugh in the Mid Norfolk Sunday League challenge final.
Chasing 145 to win Swardeston acheived their success with 7.3 overs and five wickets to spare. Matt Kelly 41, Will Rist 32, Tim Courridge 24 no and Peter Thomas 14 no were the main contributors.
Earlier in the afternoon some very mean bowling from Michael Eccles (3 for 12 off 8) Sean Bailey (3 for 16 off 8) supported by Danny Martin, Tim Price & Henry Ayres restricted the Ashmanhaugh batting. MoM: Michael Eccles.
The KO Trophy will now sit aside the the Premier Division title which the team secured with a convincing 143 run victory over Fakenham on 21 August.
