Swardeston-CEYMS’ bid to win the Andy Seeley Trophy Under-15 was thwarted by rain this week.
The final of the Howes Percival Norfolk Alliance competition against Diss was evenly poised but probably in Diss’ favour when a huge thunderstorm prevented any further play.
Swardeston-CEYMS stood at 68-1 with Bud Bailey 54 not out from 18 of their 30 overs when the heavens opened. Diss had earlier made 188-2 from their 30 overs with Henry Rush scoring 61 and Liam Brown unbeaten on 70.
The game will now played at Swardeston’s Common ground on Thursday 26 August starting at 1pm. Spectators more than welcome.
