Swardeston hosted Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers in the Anglian Vehicle Linings East Anglian Premier League and lost by four wickets with three balls to spare.
After the wet conditions during the week, the visitors had no hesitation in inserting the hosts after winning the toss.
After a steady start, Oli Longdon was run out for 20 after a mix-up. Swardeston then lost three wickets for 18 runs after the dismissals of Ben Chapman (34), Tim Ward (33), and Alfie Cooper (7), and were in trouble at 99 for 4.
Jonah Wicks steadied the innings with a fantastic knock, top-scoring with 82. Wicks received support from Rajaguru (35), Lambert (21) and France (23) as Swardeston posted 280 from their 64 overs.
Tommy Chambers took 3 for 52 for ABW.
The visitors’ reply revolved around two players scoring half-centuries and one recording a century.
Jordan Everett played a steady innings at the top of the order for 52, Jay Parmar an attacking middle-order knock of 64, and Zak Tribe struck a match-winning 106.
Some late hitting from Josh Larner with two sixes and Joe Flatt with one six saw the visitors home with just three balls to spare. Rajaguru took 3 for 87 for Swardeston.
