Swardeston travelled to reigning Anglian Vehicle Linings East Anglian Premier League champions Sawston and Babraham on Saturday.
After a spell of light rain an early lunch was taken. Swardeston won the toss and inserted the hosts in bright and breezy conditions.
Adam Todd bowled a tight spell, but it was Lewis Reeder who struck first, bowling the home team’s captain, Callum Guest for 31.
Ben France bowled a miserly spell, conceding just 27 runs from his 14 overs.
The introduction of Saranga Rajaguru then had Ethan Rice (15) caught at slip by Richard Sims before trapping Ben Claydon LBW for 0.
Daniel Andrews (10) was then caught by the same combination of Sims and Rajaguru before the rain returned and curtailed the match with Sawston and Babraham CC on 123 for 4 from 37 overs.
Ralph Hayward finished 54 not out for the hosts, while Rajaguru finished with 3 for 21 and Reeder 1 for 18 for Swardeston.
