Cockspur T20 hero Peter Lambert was a popular choice for the John Betts Cup for outstanding performance of the year at the annual Swardeston awards dinner.
Lambert thrilled Swardeston followers with his magnificent innings in the Sky-televised live finals from the Rose Bowl last September.
His unbeaten 72 backed by a supreme team performance fired Swardeston to national glory over South Northumberland in the final. Just hours earlier Lambert had also top scored in the semi-final win over Wimbledon.
Alex Bilham was named as the Sunday team player of the year after topping the run charts with over 300 runs including an amazing 131 against Vauxhall Mallards A, which came in just 88 balls and featured 14 fours and four sixes.
David Micklethwaite was the latest winner of the Neville Herathge Trophy for the outstanding youth player of the year. Micklethwaite, now 17, started the season in the Swardeston CEYMS team but his displays, including two centuries, earned him a call-up into the A XI where he played five games.
