Swardeston moved up to second place in the Anglian Vehicle Linings East Anglian Premier League after a comfortable 7-wicket victory over Bury St Edmunds.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first. After a steady start, with the score on 32, Tom Bailey removed Zayan Imam (12).
Two more wickets fell quickly, Adam Todd had Archie Jones (1) LBW, and then Justin Bishop (20) was superbly run out with a direct hit from Alfie Cooper.
Harry Gallian and captain Josh Cantrell attempted to rebuild the innings before the introduction of Lewis Reeder soon removed them both, Gallian bowled for 25, and Cantrell caught by Alfie Cooper for 7, to leave the visitors on 75 for 5.
Saranga Rajaguru was then brought into the attack and he soon removed Alex Maynard (5), Ben Whittaker (7) and Ben Harris (2) as the visitors went into lunch at 102 for 8.
After the break, Tom Rash was provided good support from Thomas Davey (17) before Rajaguru claimed another wicket. Rash top scored with 35 as he was the final wicket to fall, caught on the boundary off Todd.
Rajaguru finished with 4 for 39, Reeder took 2 for 19 and Todd 2 for 35.
Ben Chapman and Richard Sims made a positive start to the reply before Sims was LBW off Ben Whittaker for 24.
Chapman was the second wicket to fall as he was caught on the boundary for 29 off Josh Cantrell.
Tim Ward and Alfie Cooper had taken the score to 103 before Cooper (10) was smartly run out by Josh Cantrell.
Tim Ward and Peter Lambert then guided Swardeston to victory with little trouble, Ward ending unbeaten with an excellent 48 and Lambert on 28 not out.
