Pleased to announce the signing of Ben Shearing back to the club where he started his cricket.
Ben left Swardeston for Old Buckenham in 2017 and has been playing his cricket there since.
Ben was a product of the Swardeston CEYMS youth section and rose through the youth teams to become a regular senior player for us for many years.
The Shearing name is a famous one at Swardeston as dad Stuart was a key player for the club during the 1980s-2000s.
Swardeston chair Stuart Bartram said: “It is always good to see a ‘son of Swardeston’ come back to the club. This is a popular signing among our club members.”
Ben said: “Really happy to be back at the club after five enjoyable years at Old Buckenham. It’ll be nice to play with some old faces again and hopefully we can push on as a team and target promotion back to the NCA Premier Division.”
