We are delighted that hard work carried out by Stewart and Amanda Pywell over the summer has been acknowledged by the Norfolk Cricket Board.
Stewart and Amanda have been shortlisted in the final three of the Unsung Hero category of the 2021 NCB Grassroots Cricket Awards after being nominated by the club.
The Unsung Hero award looks to honour those who impact our game and help us make cricket happen. This could be ground staff, coaches, officials, umpires, or other volunteers.
Stewart and Amanda have been invited to Wensum Valley Golf Club on 27 October 2021 for an evening hosted by the Norfolk Cricket Board to celebrate their achievement.
The Grassroots Cricket Awards (formerly NatWest OSCAs) are aimed at recognising those volunteers who give their time to the game of cricket – without these individuals the game would not survive.
The England and Wales Cricket Board, alongside the wider cricket community, are recognising a record-breaking 20,000 volunteers this year to celebrate the people that make our game happen.
In total, over 42,000 volunteers have helped their local clubs and communities to play more cricket and get more people involved in the game than ever before.
