Today’s match against a well drilled and confident Gt Melton team put us to the test.
Five of the six who played last week donned their Swardeston shirts for a second time. This meant that, despite a second defeat, many positives and much improvement was already evident. Batting first, we scored 217 net. In reply, Great Melton scored 271.
Special mention for Abi Sutherland and Halima Khan who batted and ran positively as a pair and April Herathge for her mature captaincy and example shown to the other team members.
Next week’s fixture against Garboldisham takes place at Taverham Hall School, 2.45 pm Sunday 31st January.
