The glorious recent weather ensured a fantastic start to the club’s 2008 youth coaching programme which began at Swardeston Common on Tuesday 6th May.
Seventy seven children attended and were given coaching for two hours by ten ECB qualified coaches. The sessions are aimed at improving all the skills of cricket but particularly fielding and fitness. The under 15 age group played a small sided game while the under 13 group worked on catching. The under 11 group worked on fitness and also enjoyed a game while the youngsters aged 8 & under took part in the Kwik Kricket.
Peter & Carol opened the club where hot food and the usual selection of drinks were available. Weather permitting the schedule will run through the entire summer until the end of August. Sessions are £3 per child and registration (sign in) is from 6pm.
