Charles Dagnall stars at 33rd cricket dinner

More than 230 guests were entertained by one of the best-known names in broadcasting as we welcomed Test Match Special and Sky’s Charles Dagnall to Swardeston to our annual cricket dinner.

The 33rd staging of the dinner was also sponsored by Breakwater IT for the third year running and also featured comedian Jed Stone.

Following a playing career which included stints at Warwickshire and Leicestershire, Dagnall has built an impressive broadcasting presence.

Swardeston chairman Stuart Bartram said: “Charlie was a fantastic guest speaker, the latest of great guests in the dinner’s 33rd year history.”

Breakwater’s Managing Director John Gostling said: “We were delighted to sponsor the Swardeston Cricket Club annual dinner again. It was the perfect opportunity to celebrate Swardeston’s impressive successes this season.”
